I cannot find any published info on when to replace the Timing Belt. I just happened to be in Atlanta this week and droped into 2 different dealers, with 2 very different stories.
1. Alpharetta....change at 90K cost up to $1400.00 and the little plastic cover for the rear wiper (which was my main goal) $11.00 not in stock.
2. South Atlanta....change at 120K $400.00 to $700.00 and $5.98 for the cover (in stock)
3. The Toyota dealer next door $200.00 "are you sure? absolutely it's just a Camry engine and the same thing as our Highlander."
Is the Lexus logo just a licence to screw the local market for whatever it will bare?
I will be very interested in your comments and opinions.

I think the one in Alphraletta is including the 90K service+timing belt+water pump+seals+drive belts+labor.
The one in south Atlanta is just the timing belt and water pump, no service
The $200.00 at Toyota..hmmm, just the timing belt.
You may need to ask for the details and what's included in the service at that price and compare them.
Most dealership will give you a cheaper quote to get you in.
The RX timing belt and water pump be replace at 90K because of the VVT-i engine. If the timing belt break or the water pump locked up, it will bend the vlaves and that's some big $$$$.

Thanks for your reply, the Alpharetta dealers quote did not include the 90K service that was another $700.00. The Timing belt including the pump was a base price $700.00 but could run up to $1,400.00 if seals and pulleys are needed.
