Ok I have a 2000, can I chrome the grill

I did a search and Shonuff said he did it on a 2000, and I was already to go to home depot(my husband will kill me) and then I read another post that someone said they tried to strip a 2000 grill and there was no chrome underneath, anyone out there do a 2000? I do not want to ruin it. thanks

i have done 99-2001's they all have chrome underneath. way to go with all the mods. keep them coming

I'm still paranoid about doing this. My subconscious is telling me this is a dirty trick you all are trying to play on me... hehe

I guess it's because I don't understand why the grill would be chrome and then painted over... just seems odd.
