Default P0303 knock sensor.

I have this code and the expected lack of OD. I read up on the PITA job it is to replace the sensors. Searching elsewhere I cam across someone mentioning that they jumped the connector of the faulty sensor with the connector of the good sensor to fool the ECM.

Here is the link http://www.justanswer.com/lexus/46ss...ank-knock.html

I really can't find anything more explanatory and would love to try this until I can get the parts and try the repair. Has anyone done this before?
