Has anyone has this problem? My girlfriends 2000 RX all of the sudden doesn't have first gear. She's had no OD for a while which Ijust recently found out it could be knock sensor related, I've gotta look into that more. But the other day she went to leave the house and it had no power. I drove it and it feels like it's starting out in either 2nd or 3rd gear. I'm an auto tech by trade so fixing it isn't the issue. My problem I can figure out which solenoid is for first gear. I've looked in Alldata at work but all it does is show the solenoids but doesn't give the true function of each. It'll show the one for 3-4 gear and for pressure and lock-up, but the others aren't detailed in the info. Can anyone help point me in the right direction?

Are there any CEL's on? Just to confirm the car isn't in "SNOW" mode correct?

Knock sensor will give you the CEL.

Try resetting the CEL by the reader or disconnect the battery for 20 mins or so.

Try driving with gear in D and try driving in other positions (just try to remain below 5.5k rpms.

Yes there's a CEL and it was for knock sensor last time I scanned it, have not scanned it since the new issue. I will be fixing the OD issue soon. My concern is the not starting in 1st gear. I will scan it this weekend, just was curious if others have had this issue and if anyone could tell me which solenoid was for 1st gear. I tried starting it out in other gears also, same thing, no 1st gear.
