Mine like most of yours rattles hideously where the dash meets the glass. It does change as the temperature changes (It's an expansion contraction thang) Any hoo....get some 3/8" black vacume hose and wedge it in the gap, it's almost un-noticable and will fix the problem. Yes it's truly pathetic that we have to do such things to a LEXUS...a Yugo sure but an RX300....very sad.

this is a problem that I have and it irritates the #@#@$@ out of me. Could you please give me more detail on how and what you did.

You should check with a Lexus service rep. This is a known defect that they will fix at no charge to you. I'm not sure if you HAVE to be under warranty to get this taken care of...
But they reinsulated my dash free of charge...

Is there something I can reference with the Lexus service rep, because I have an appt on Friday for the problem and when I told him about the expansion contraction issue he acted like I was the only Rx to have this problem and I was from another planet. Any help in steering them the right way would be helpful.
thanks,
thanks,
