This is near the fuel cutoff limit. I did this in the afternoon on the toll road behind where I live while heading up to the monthly Intererstate Bracket Championship (got 3rd as like an idiot I red lighted in the semifinal and ran within .044 without breaking out).

I wanted to add that 112 mph is the fuel cutoff.

Default 192 Km/h = 116 Mph

I live in Canary Islands, Spain. I always drive at highway fast, fast. Maximum with my RX, 192 kmh, then the limiter starts to work.
I know that European tune up is better than US models. Therefore, stability and precision on steeering at these speeds is perfect in my car, smooth as silk at around 5,000 RPM.
Wondering how to cheat the limiter to test the 120 MPH and above...Any ideas?

That's fantastic. Mexico allows me the same high speed opportunities.

I thought that European models were limited to about 201 hp, though I have read that the ones (this is the RX330) in the Middle East are about 252 hp, http://www.lexusuae.com/english/specs.aspx?pageId=9578 or so due to the lack of emissions equipment.

Based on some weight and 1/4 mile formulas I used, my RX should be over 250 hp.

There are two devices that I mentioned about earlier that will help you cheat.

I used to see the TTE VMAX Kit listed at TTE.DE designed for the RX300 to cut off the limit, but I do not see it there anymore so I think the HKS Speed Limit Defencer might be the only thing left.

I think with the European RX300s having 201 hp, I can see why (with mine about 250 hp), why the TTE Kompressor would not give the tranny too many problems. This is a neat idea (47 hp more max), but I do not remember them being as cheap as the TRD Superchargers for the Camry/Solara. I still plan to pour my cash into my turbo idea.

It also looks like it includes a VMAX kit as part of the package.

TTE compressor is nice, but it cost more that 6000 USD. It must be a way to obtain more than the 201 HP for the 3.0L v6 when the GS uses the same engine with 220 HP (Always EU specifications).
I read about the electric supercharges, but I think is not giving any gain.
Also about cheating the EGR sensor. Anybody hear anything about this?

Besides this, while driving in grave, the TC is always braking the car, any "easy" way to disconect this safety and boring feature?

I think the GS is a different engine group. EU really messes you up in the hp department

I think the price they charge for the compressor here is much higher, so 6,000 USD would be a bargain but still nearly twice the price of some of those TRD superchargers that would take some modification to fit.

I joke about electric superchargers before. Neat idea and I have seen at least on of them work, but not for the amount of $$$.

On some cars (no RX owners I know), disabling the EGR sensor will help in the power department. Although I do not have any state or federal emissions tests, many members, especially are California members are subjected to them. I would hope where you are, you are not subject to them if you plan to do a removal. My cousin has a VR6 Golf and he are thinking about doing exactly that since he is no longer eligible in Mexico City metro to get a sticker that allows you to drive every day of the week. For most of you who do not know, we have a program in Mexico City and Mexico State (state that adjoins Mexico City) whereby all cars over 10 years old (unless 30 year old classic vehicles) cannot drive one day out of the week due to emissions restrictions. I am subject to it being a foreign plated vehicle as is anyone else who travels through the area. Tourists be warned.

I hate to be a sour puss but... 192km in a RX no matter how good the roads are is not a good idea.

When I get up to the top speed, I do not stay up there for too many seconds. Keep in mind the tires (unless you have a higher speed rating) are rated to 112 mph.

I have been in my buddy's RX7 out here on the highways, and sometimes I can smell rubber.

I was looking at the last pricing sheets from TRD with respect to TTE parts

http://www.trdusa.com/PriceSheets.asp

http://www.trdusa.com/Pdfs/TTE%20MSRP%20(01-05).pdf

$13,003 for the TTE Kompressor

About 190 km/h is a little over 118 mph by my calculations. Quite impressive. If you have access to a GPS unit, you might actually be going faster, especially if you are goinf fast down an incline on a highway as even though the fuel might cut off the forward intertia is still kicking you forward.

What type of tires do you have on your RX?
