Car wont start..how to tell if you need a new starter
Well yesterday my car ran like a champ i mean i do not allow my car to sit no more then a day if even that because im constantly commuting to college and work. 7days a week im busy
my battery is only a year old and i have a new alternator in the car as well as spark plugs
i can see the car alarm is active because the light is blinking and the interior light comes on but is very dim but when i tried to turn the key just enough so the radio could come on the radio blinked very fast then turn right on. my headlights do not turn on but except for those little side markers.
i have a 2000 lexus rx300 AWD that is taking very good care of and i have about 132xxx miles

All signs are of a weak or dead battery. (or bad/corroded/loose) terminals.
Try charging up the battery or try getting a jump start.
You need to eliminate bad +12v before looking into starter/solenoid. A brand new fully charged battery can be drained out (and can be successfully recharged and revived).

Sounds like your battery is out, and if so, it wasn't a good one to begin with and hopefully you can get it replaced under some kind of warranty.
The truth of the matter is that these cars do drain on the battery when they sit. You mention that the car never really sits that long, so I would say the battery must be faulty.
If you do ever have your car sit for more than a few weeks, I highly recommend a Battery Tender. I have two cars that sit for extended periods of time and if it weren't for these units things would be much more inconvenient when the time came to fire them back to life.
