Have you lost power (+12v) for something else?
Did you smell anything burning?
What changed that initiated the 7.5amp fuse to blow?
Generally going with larger fuse is a last ditch effort.

Hello, I'm having a problem maybe you can help me with I have a 1999 rx 300 my panel lights on the center console radio, tuning, heat, air ect. Plus the shifter lights are not working. Took cig lighter out checked dome light because that was blowing made sure that is not shorting any more that stays on now. However every time I put a new fuse in and the headlights come it it blew the fuse (7.5) . I put a larger fuse in I know your not supposed to but it didnt blow the fuse I put a 15 in and still no panel lights. I pulled that fuse out put a 7.5 back in and it dims the radio light and the dash lights without luminating the panel lights. All the other fuses work as well as everything else. Is that particular fuse port blown? And how do I fix it?
Thanks Rich
