Update: First, I want to thank all of you guys who responded to my two threads (here and the "Maintenance" section). You have pointed me in directions which have really increased my knowledge in several areas. After trying again today without success, I decided to research the one constant in my situation--the P1760 DTC. It will not clear.
I found several cases of this P1760 DTC being tied to a loose or disconnected TB ground wire and giving identical conditions as my RX -- engine turns but no spark. I did have the throttle body partially disconnected to replace the rear IC and plugs, but do not remember disconnecting a TB ground wire. I found a disconnected ground wire which attached to the left sidewall with another ground wire. It has a L-shaped metal end connector and I think it was disconnected to help me get the PCV hose out. I looked at the DIY pictures and think it connects to the assembly behind and above the PCV hose. I reconnected it but the car still will not start.
Any ideas from anyone on the TB ground wire or the one coming off the left sidewall with the L-shaped end connector? Also, I cannot find any wires which are cut or chewed.

See post #7.
Did you do a +12v check on the coil and a diode (blink) test so see switched 12v on the primary side of the coil pack.

The two ground wires I was referring to are clearly visible in post #7 of the spark plug DIY.
Salim, my multimeter arrives tomorrow and I will start testing the electrical circuits. This will be a relatively new for me. I do have the RX300 service manuals on my computer, so hopefully the diagrams will give me an idea on where to place the POS/NEG probes.
Is your picture in post #7 of the area behind the PCV?

Yes, it is the passenger side of the air-intake .. you can see the linkage.
No one responded on how to look at the timing belt...

Well...it's fixed, and boy do I feel stupid. While looking at the photos of where that ground wire was connected, I noticed the additional wiring connected to the same bolt. I didn't remember connecting it. Went out to the garage and sure enough--no wire bundle connected. It had fallen down behind the engine where I could not see it. Connected it, cleared the DTCs, and it fired right up. Five freakin' days of stress all created by one connection. Geez...
So there you have it boys and girls. When you do any of these fantastic DIYs, take your own pictures of every single thing you disconnect. Then go back through your photo sequence to put it all back together. This could have been fixed the same day I did the repair...if only I had noticed that damn wire connector.
Thanks everyone. Next project is front strut mounts on the 1998 ES300.

Nothing like a red face coupled with success. That's ^^^^^^ something every one of us needs to learn, especially in this day of digitalization.

Other alternative is to buy red electrical tape and tag the item(s). Camera/pictures are nice, but can be in the way ...
Glad it all worked out in the end.

Another golden rule is ... fix one thing at a time.
