Default OBD Connector Plug Got Smashed. Where Can I Get a Replacement?

I've tried eBay and Amazon and some random auto parts websites. Do I have to go to a junkyard or is there somewhere online I can get a replacement plug? I need to clear the codes before a smog check. The CEL goes off every few months with an O2 sensor fault.

Thanks,
Jonathan

Is the cover smashed or the whole plug. If it is the plug do you plan to remove the wires from old and insert them in the new or change the harness?

Best option would be salvage yard.

If you are not picky about appearance, you can get the plug from any vehicle after 1995 as the plug is standard, just connect up the wires and you can tuck-in the plug with the wires behind the panel.

Now the CEL. You can reset it but the inspection station will not issue you a pass until the channel is ready (enough miles and start-stops to accumulate data).

google found this for me [cant vouch for them though]

If they are not plugging in to check it, just disconnect the battery to clear it, then drive about 10 miles before you get it checked.

or ebay

Wow! Thanks for the links everyone! I wonder why they weren't showing up in my searches. Thanks also for the tip about accumulating some data before going in to get smogged.

Further on OBDII port :

Please check what the local rules are ... is it a must to have a OBDII port on post 95 models or the test stations can run other test (sticking a sensor in the exhaust ,,,, standard for pre 95). In any case a missing or broken OBDII will be a red flag and most likely the run of the mill inspection stations would refuse issuing a pass sticker. You may be able to successfully argue with stations who know the locals rules and laws.
Then again you can go to the next county where the smog testing is not required.

One thing I should add on this. If the battery is weak, sometimes the OBD2 scanner won't pick up signals or will flicker. I had that happen a few years back, even running a laptop scanner and a friend's scanner, and it wasn't until I got a new battery that I started receiving information.

So I went to the dealership (within walking distance) and the plug was part of a larger (and expensive) assembly so I came back and ordered just the plug from one of the websites mentioned above. I'll replace the plug and just tuck it up out of the way until I can find one in a junkyard. I'm kind of in a rush because I need to check the codes, fix the CEL, and get smogged before March 8th! Wish me luck!
