I will look into which Ignition Coils were used, but the spark plugs were Autolite XP3923 Xtreme Performance Iridium Spark Plugs.
The invoice for replacing the six ignition coils was $1511.72, with $495.00 for labor and $935.00 for parts.

It's good you used OEM coils, however it would have been best to use the plugs that carguy07 mentioned as they are OE.
I'd start by switching the coil pack from cylinder 2 to another cylinder. And then see if the misfire code moves to the cylinder where you moved the coil pack.
It's possible the new coil is bad.
First though, I'd take it back to the shop and have them monkey around with it. Cause that's what it sounds like they are doing, throwing parts at it. Now that they have effectively replaced all of the easy to get to parts, maybe they will actually do some troubleshooting.

Just wondering if you gave up on the car or found a solution. I don't have much and have the same problem. I would love to hear if your found the answer to this problem.

I had similar problems and replaced MAF sensor, O2 Sensor on Bank 1, all six Coils, all six Spark Plugs, both Catalytic Converters on Bank 1. The error codes were P172, P300, P301, P305, and P306. All have gone for a week ( driven 250 miles) and came back. The engine in running rough and error code light is solid to start with for four to six miles and then starts flashing. I am using the car for local trip within ten miles from home but would like fix car. Is it likely that coil gone bad again? I have cleaned MAF sensor and PVC. Salim, any recommendations what else is left to do to get rid off misfire code. I have 175K miles and do not wish to put too much money since it might not fix the problem and may not worth fixing it.

#6 is near the air cleaner. Try swapping out #6 coil pack with #2 If the code moves #2 then it is the coil pack.
If it does not then it try moving the spark plug. Did you use oem plugs? others dont work well.

I Am sorry. I reported by mistake and saw only one code but there were multiple codes when I checked back after the post to confirm and found more error codes; then I went back and edited my previous post but you had answered it which I did not see.
Yes, I used OEM spark plugs but the coils were made in Chine that I bought on eBay. Now I have error codes P0172, P300, P301, P305 and P306. Please give me your recommendation and if previously answered, send link to that post. Thx again for your help.

If troubleshooting priorities for multiple DTCs are given in the applicable DTC chart, these should be followed. If no instructions are given troubleshoot DTCs according to the following priorities.
- DTCs other than fuel trim malfunction (DTCs P0171, P0172, P0174, P0175) and misfire (DTCs P0300 – P0306).
- Fuel trim malfunction (DTCs P0171, P0172, P0174, P0175).
- Misfire (DTCs P0300 – P0306).
Sounds like you start with P0172 - System too Rich (A/F Rich Malfunction Bank 1)
- Fuel line pressure
- Injector leak, blockage
- Heated oxygen sensor malfunction
- Mass air flow meter
- Engine coolant temp. sensor
- Gas leakage on exhaust system

I used NGK Spark Plugs but the coils were bought on eBay manufactured in China. What is A/F too rich means and how do I fix it? Can you explain and list step needed to control fuel mixture.

Given the list of causes I'd start with the simple ones
- Gas leakage on exhaust system
- Heated oxygen sensor malfunction
- Mass air flow meter
- Engine coolant temp. sensor
- Fuel line pressure
- Injector leak, blockage
When there was only one code, what was it? I usually figure the first one triggers the rest.
Throwing parts at it can work but it's expensive. I've never had multiple coils go at once, for example. If I got multiple misfires I thought were coil related I would clear the codes, see which one misfired first, swap two coils, clear again, see if the problem moves. If it doesn't it's probably not the coil.
