Hard to argue with a well maintained car. With a record of oil changes gelling won't be an issue and she most likely did what it needed when it needed it and only quit taking care of it when she decided to sell it. She just didn't want to buy tires and do the brakes again.
I would suggest a complete fluid change on the car;
transmission
radiator
brake fluid
power steering
oil etc.
Is the car AWD or FWD? If AWD don't neglect those drive components. I had an '01 RX300 for years and had it not been totaled would probably still be driving it today, great cars! Best of luck with it and post pics as soon as you can!

I assume the car has a rear differential that needs to be changed?

The transfer case also takes gear oil. The front diff is interconnected with the transmission (i.e. transaxle), that takes ATF and is filled via dipstick tube.
There is a DIY for all of that.

Just got home. Took about 15 min to change out the rotor and the pads up at his house and she drove like a dream (even with the snow paws). Will post pics tomorrow!

Nice. I like the black interior. I've got the Mist Green with the Tan interior.
