Advice on code P1354

At the beginning of the year my RX check engine began flashing and running rough. The code was P1349, faulty VVT, I think bank 1. The mechanic replaced the VVT and it was fine. A possible important point (if these issues are related) was the mechanic said the valve was actually working when he checked it and it was running fine but we agreed to replace it to prevent a repeat and all was well.
Today the check engine came on, but not flashing, the RX ran a little rough for a few seconds and was fine. I got it home and scanned it, the code was P1354, which seems to be the oil control valve or filter (?). I cleared the check engine and drove it for a few minutes; still fine and the light did not come back on.
Would you guys blow it off if it runs fine and the check engine does not return, or what proactive steps are indicated. Also, is there any relation between my January issue and this issue? Thanks for the advice.

Can't comment on any possible connection between a 1349 and a 1354, but when my RX threw a 1354 I was so troubled by the symptoms (rough idle, low vacuum, markedly more difficult to brake) that I immediately replaced the OCV and the problems did not return.

It's not uncommon for the second OCV to go bad shortly after the first one so I would recommend replacing both at the same time. They are not expensive and easy to do.
