Default Urgent!! P0174 code on a long trip

Hello, I need immediate help. I am on a long trip to CA, which is about 1700 miles.

Just now, I got a P0174 code. One fault and one pending of P0174. I don't know what should I do now. Is it safe to continue driving?

I am sorry, I don't have time to search old threads.

Thank you everyone!

Doesn't appear to be that serious a code - first thing I would check is the hose that goes into the air filter. That comes disconnected very easily.

Have a safe trip!

Keep driving, this doesn't have to be dealt with immediately. You can wait till you are home.

It could possibly be a lazy A/F sensor. I'd first try cleaning the MAF sensor though, as that could trigger it too. Before anything though, reset the code and see if it happens again.

Thanks hypervish! You are always helpful.

I would like to know, if I keep driving, will it potentially damage the engine?

I am currently do not have any other experience, except a little weak acceleration.

Hi DanDevoe,

Thanks for your information. Would you please show me the location of the hose? Thanks.

I may have given wrong information.

The air hose does throw a code, but not the one that you are experiencing.

You missed to notice hyper's answer in post #3.

Thanks to everyone's help.

I reset the code, and found out that it will only appear again when I hardly push the gas.

I don't have cleaner on hand, so I can not clean MAF right now. I will do it tomorrow.
