2000 RX 300 Front Brakes Pads and Rotors
I inspected my 2000 Lexus 300 front rotors and I noticed what looked like criss cross marks on the rotors. Are these marks made from the wear indicators? Is this a sign to replace the pads? I don't see or feel any circular scoring of the rotor. Please advise

Some machinist make the chris-cross marks like laser light pattern on the rotors when they machine it.
The wear markers rub against the caliper and make metal to metal sound when the pads wear low. If the pads wear out then the base metal of the pad starts scouring the rotor.

Laser lines on rear rotors
Salim, that makes sense. I did the rear brake pads recently and now that you mention it I did noticed the wear indicators. And yes these marks looked like laser lines probably from the last time they were turned. I just never noticed them before. Thanks for your help.
