hi guys .. searched the forums but found nothing on this topic.

about a couple of months ago the spring action to turn the Power On/Off on the Radio was broken. It became really soft and was not bouncing back. It was fine for a while - it meant I have to pull it up manually.

But not it has become so bad that when I turn the Volume up/down it turns off. And even the slightest touch seems to turn the radio off.

It has come to the point where I need to find a solution.

What are the options ?

I would not expect it would be very difficult to find a replacement (exact match) radio in a salvage yard.

Yeah-- I have gotten them before for about $70-90 with a nice housing, probably even less if all you need is the radio!

Maybe before you go out and start buying parts, you can pull out the part and see what's wrong with it first.
