What kind of mileage range are you looking at?

Let me give you some info that I found out recently during a purchase of a 99RX. I was also deliberating between and 1999 and a 2001. I found a 99 with 34K for $25K and a 2001 for 25K for $32K. So your prices should be lower than those. Thats a good place to start.

But the best place to consult is http://www.edmunds.com/tmv/used/

they have True Market Value pricing. Also compare these prices with KBB. I really found edmunds to be a life saver.

Happy hunting!

Well it just so happens i'm a auto wholesaler so this is right up my alley. I just bought a 99 with 45k on it for my personal vehicle and I paid $21,500. Not a steal by wholesale standards but these cars are very hot right now and haven't really depreciated much in the last year or so. The problem is you will most likely be looking at 2000's now as it's the new year and the 00 lease returns are starting to come in. I bought two 00's last week at about what I paid for my 99, but they were higher miles (around 65K). Don't forget your dealer is going to have auction fees and such and will probably want to make a little money off you as well. As for the 01's you probably won't see many available for a year yet, but they book around $28,000. Also just because that's what they are going for here in Minneapolis doesn't mean they will in other markets, everywhere is different but this should give you an idea.

Default here's how it turned out

My dealer ended winning a 2000 rx 300 with 65k at a price of $20,100. With the auction fee and his fee it will come in at a shade under 21k.

It is black on tan which is a color combo my wife likes. It is fully loaded and the spec sheet I saw online for this vehicle says it has xenon lights but I will have to confirm that one as most 2000's don't.

Car is clean except for a few normal scratches, a broken reflector? (not the taillight but a small little reflector type of thing on the side panel towards the rear) and the drivers leather is a bit more worn than usual with two small tears.

Assuming to fix the above doesn't cost me a small fortune it appears they got me a fair deal.

I will follow up when I get it fully cleaned up and have a chance to drive it around town.

thanks to all who replied

Is there any reason why not a 2000?
