Hello ALL, new member here, just bought a 2002 Rx 300 awd with 18,950 miles. I saw it on the net and thought no way, so I went and looked at it.
The car is practically new, you look at the under carriage and it still has the bar tags in various places, it shines under there.
I don’t know much about Lexus other than there the high end of Toyota, but I was looking at AWD vehicles, so here I am.
I know how forums work, so I will be reading over your shoulder and ask for help when needed. I really love driving this car around town so far and can’t wait to take it skiing. The only thing I can see that is kind of funky is the antenna…lol what’s that like 1970’s ?

Welcome to CL. I too have a 2002 RX (with a bit more miles than only 18K!!!), but I still love my car, and it still rides nice (suspension starting to creak about a month ago at 112,000 miles). Other than that, I've had no issues - I take it to the local Toyota dealer for all required/recommended service. Must be nice to find a 2002 with that low mileage on it. Did you check the carfax to see if it thinks the mileage is right?

Wow, I thought I found a low mileage 2002 RX300 AWD with 88k! Congratulations on a great find. Can't wait to see the photos. Since vehicle has such low miles it did a lot of sitting around. I'd change fluids just to get fresh ones into the vehicle. I can't imagine how good that driver seat must look with so little miles.

Thanks Lexmex, I’ve been busy reading all your DIY threads, it’s great to have the kind of information you and others provide. The VSC and CEL came on yesterday so I checked the gas cap and looked around under the hood and found that the hose going to the air cleaner was left off. Today I’m going to pull the battery cable and reset the computer, hopefully that will fix it.

It’s kind of and interesting color, when the light hits it, it can look a little different, I was told it is aquamarine..?, looks hazel to me, but haven’t investigated that yet. Reset the computor and the VSC & CEL did not come back on,hopefully they will stay off.
