Default A couple of interior questions

My recently acquired '01 RX300 (replaces another '01 RX300) has a couple of minor issues with the front interior. First, the adjustment slider is missing off the passenger side A/C vent. I don't think that is available separately... does anyone have one off a junker?
Secondly, there is a scratch in the shiny finish on the woodgrain trim. I tried a couple of kinds of rubbing compound and they did not help. Has anyone had to remove scratches from the trim, and what did you use?

In regards to the wood trim scratch. I would try to use a buffer on it. You'll have to remove it from the car, and have an assistant hold it securly. You should be able to use a rubbing compound and get most, if not all the scratch out.

1. have a look at Yahoo Japan auctions, saw some separately sold there;
2. take the trim off and do some good polishing eliminating scratches and upper layer and putting it back again.
