I brought mine at Glenview, IL Lexus dealer for the front upper support replacement and they notice that I have a leak on the manifold. They replace all under warranty at 57K miles.

If i knew how to weld i would of done it myself.

I don't know of any trustworthy mechanics that won't do a half *** job. So the dealer was my only choice.

I rather do it myself. I did the amp install before and just did the windshield washer motor.

Yet another example of how this vehicle was just thrown together to catch some market share.
The RX was the first vehicle of its kind in the market, so with the RX Lexus originated the market for this type of vehicle - dip******!

Make sure the CE light is caused by the exhaust manifold...

My manifold is also cracked slightly (only noticeble when engine is cold)...

Took it to the local Toyota shop and they said they can replace the (front manifold) with oem stainless steel for $518 all in CAD.

But also told me it wouldn't get much worse and ageed with me that it was a lot of money to spend unecessarily.

We both agreed.

Guess I'll be back in 10000 km for coolant flush and timing belt change with the coin I saved not doing manifold replacement.
Mine is not that bad, others may vary in opinion.

This is on the underside and my uncle has had to weld it shut twice.
