Question Screen & Radio Not working!!!

ThIs Suks!! I gave my mom the car today because i was working from home (her cars under 3 feet of snow) and she brings it back with no radio and the screen shows ONLY the time! no air temp, no radio stations, no info display, just the time...??..

Anyone have this promblem before? Is there a fuse that controlls all that?

I've had that happen before. There's nothing wrong don't worry. I don't forget what I did but I pushed something and it went back to normal.

Never sen this prob, but here's some fuse info.

In the big fuse box on the drivers side of the engine compartment,

-Fuse 15: Interior light, Vanity lights, Foot lights, Rear personal light, Gauges and meters and Multi-Display.
-Fuse 16: The Multiplex Computer
-Fuse 17: Audio System

Inside in the drivers side instrument panel fuse box,
-Fuse 23: Audio System, Multiplex Computer
-Fuse 29: Telephone, inside rear-view mirror, ABS, TC and Multi-Display
-Fuse:35 Multiplex Computer, Service reminder indicators

Good luck.

I dont think there's any problem. That happened to me when I got the car for 6 months. I was like, what happened? I drove to my destination, parked it, then came back out, start the car, and it was fine. Later, it happened again but never did ever since. It "fixes" itself. I've been driving it for 3 years and 3 months. No problems.

I know what you mean but its not the same thing.. When u set the time ther are buttons for the hours and mins(or something of that sort) but in this case theres nothing, just the time..

I checked all the fuses that i think would cause this promblem and they all looked fine so i planned on going to Lexus today but some oil tanker blew up, which scared the crap out of me and woke me up,  and closed the bridges so i couldnt make it into Jersey. Im gonna go on Monday and see what they say..

Same thing happened to me about a year ago. After parking for 20 min problem went away and never came back. I mentioned it to the dealer, thinking I must have put the screen in some unknown mode or something but he had no idea. He just said he would replace the screen if the problem returned.

Just got my Rx back after Lexus had it for a couple of days, but i didnt mind because I had an ES loaner to have some fun with..

Anyway, they said it was a short and i they replaced the whole screen and i guess the radio becasue now i notice tht it says premium sound system right underneath where it says lexus.. But i cant remember if it always said that or maybe its the fact that my trucks so clean that i just think its new?? Does any one have 2001 with that text on their radio

Well im happy it was fixed and was under warrenty. Service guy says it happens often

My RX is a 99, just out of warranty. If this is common, will they take care of me still? Otherwise, I think this is an expensive fix.
