Black skirting on RX300

Black skirting on RX300
I noticed that I have a dent in the black skirting of my 99 RX300. I'm sure someone recently backed into it judging by the position of the dent. Luckily it didn't snag any of the metal edges and didn't hit the door itself. I only noticed it since I saw a spot of rust on the skirting.
Has anyone repainted part of their skirting? I want to use a can of sray paint and only touch up the part I fiberglass...probably the size of a fist or two.
What paint should I use to match the black skirting, which is probably the same on every Lexus?
Last time I did this on my Villager I tried six different spray cans before I found one that was close enough to be unnoticed.

The dent itself is the size of a fist, pushed in about a half inch, but if I fill it and sand it the size will be about 5 inches wide. I don't mind spray painting it, even if a small line is created, as long as the color matches. Since it is on the lower panel I doubt the line would really be visible since it was hard to even see the dent as first. I am more worried about matching the black color and whether or not it is satin, flat or a semi-gloss finish.

Well, with my RX, I painted the entire bottom black (to match the black onyx top) with a semi-gloss finish using Dupont. Due to some idiot hauling chain link fence I had to also repair the front driver side metal part and used the same paint, and it matched the rest of the car with no problem. I used a wet sand for both parts. After using 3 coats of paints, the real trick was using 3M rubbing compound and the accompanying finisher.
I have had a few scrapes and dents like the one you mentioned. I have actually had the same paneling painted again through the same process. They used a filler and then wet sanded the part as the second step. I still cannot notice any difference.
I decided to paint it all black after having such a hard time here in Mexico tring to find that darned gray panel color. It is a semi-gloss, but to this day I still do not know what color that paint was.
