Reduce the dead weight (only transport the essential).
Inflate your tires properly.
Dont idle (warm ups and long stops)
Avoid drive throughs.
Change your time on road to when the traffic is free flowing.

Most of all develop driving habits that conserve fuel ... no jack-rabbit starts and stops.

One of the simple fact that is overlooked is .. drive less (combine errands etc). This will not improve mpg but certainly will impact the money that is spent on gas and wear+tear of your vehicle.

SUV are the wrong category for fuel conserving vehicles.

believe it or not..a block heater will help. Toyota part #C0140-00644 https://www.clublexus.com/forums/att...ionspdf-1-.pdf

You will take a shorter amount of time to get the coolant up to operating temperature. Below 180*F the ecu runs a rich warm-up cycle.
