Child seat question
Hey All
The new child seats now have tie straps for anchors that are mounted on the back dash behind the seat bech on regualr cars. RX300 need seat anchors to be installed that the dealer will do for free. The problem is I like having my daughter in the middle position so people can sit to her left and right, but the dealer is telling me they can only install the anchors on either the left or right side and not in the middle.
Have any of you had to deal with this? Did you find a solution?
Let me know and thanks for your time....

Since no one answered, here is a half baked idea...
Is the solution for back strap (left or right) seat is by uncovering an anchor in the back of the seat? If so maybe a "Y" strap can be constructed, to anchor into both the left and the right seats and the third leg connects to the child seat.

I put my my child seat in the middle position using the anchor attachment on both sides. I went to Home Depot and got an "O ring" (looks like an O with a nut on one side which when unscrewed opens the O, used on Swing Set). I used the tether hook on one of the anchors and the "O ring" on the other anchor.
It worked fine. I used this setup for one year, before having to move the toddler to one side and put the infant seat on the other side.
