Default Noise behind the radio

The noise behind the radio is intermittently a click, gurgle or squeak. It has been getting quite loud lately. It does not occur when the Max Heat is on and the hot air is blowing on the feet. Being this is in Houston, that situation does not occur too often.

I have read several posts on similar situations but still not sure which solenoid/linkage to clean/grease/replace. Anyone got a fix for what ails me?

thanx, putts

Gurgling on heat is typically due to air in the coolant. But how did the air get in? Was the coolant changed?

For clicking behind the cluster, one possible source is the air servo. This mechanical cycling is pronounced in Auto Mode of the air conditioning system. Please do a search on this topic.

My searching indicated three, possibly four, servos back there. Blend door, mode, and some others. I was not able to determine which one is causing my symptoms, where it is located and how to repair it. That is why I am asking for help.

If you want scientific way, you need to understand which control impacts which servo. A discussion (agreed that it is broken up into pieces here and there) but it is all there in the various threads. Great opportunity for some one to consolidate that

OR

Simply look at the servos in action and see which is the one which makes noise as it operates. They can all be seen once you remove the bottom panels ... again the information and pictures and some solutions (which may or may not work) are all here in RX300 forum.
