Chasing the Dreaded VSC - Trac Off - CEL Lights
After chasing the dreaded VSC, Trac Off, Check Engine Light for a while now.
I took the RX to an independent Lexus/Toyota mechanic.
After reading the codes and inspecting the engine bay, he said I had a vacuum leak that would be after the MAF and air filter box.
Does anyone have a picture of the vacuum line that comes off or gets loose when removing or replacing the air filter?
I've checked the vacuum lines and everything looks good.
Next - remove the entire air filter box, replace the PCV valve and trace all vacuum lines and check for cracks or dry rot hoses.
Anyone else find a fix for these lights?
Not wheel speed sensor or gas cap.

I wouldn't bother with tracking down or looking for a broken or loose vacuum line. All you need to do is get a cheap can of starting fluid and spray lightly around the vacuum lines and air box, as soon as you hear the idle change or the engine run different that would be the area the problem is in, if I'm not mistaken there is only one vacuum hose going to the air box, the other is for the brake booster, good luck

Here is a picture I just took, this hose always gets disconnected when I service the air filter, also that little black piece connected to the air box with the wiring harness can get brittle and crack over time, hope they can help it's 1 am here in Texas and I ran outside to snap the pics lol, hope my neighbors don't think I'm crazy!
