Default poor rx

I should have posted this awhile ago but just havent had a chance to get on here in awhile. on october 25th; as I was backing into my garage; my idiot neighbor was backing out of hers and in the process did not even look where she was going and nailed my right rear quarter panel and right rear area of my rear bumper. Believe me i was pissed.attached is what happened to it. Fortunately; now after almost 3 weeks in the body shop; it is all fixed with the exception of a small area that i have to wait a month for the paint to settle out. And oh yea she hit me for 3000 bucks worth! I just have to wait a month and go back to have them do a final wet sanding/buffing on it.

Huh? That doesn't look like $3000 to your car - how come she didn't pay if it was her fault?

My guess is because it was on private property (driveway adjacent to the duplex/condo building) it falls under the "No Fault" law

Sorry that happened to you.

Thats what the estimate was from the body shop where i went; and they were the least expensive of 3 places I went to get estimates done. The others were 5000+. I think its mainly because of all the time/labor etc involved plus they needed to get the parts. Her insurance paid for it but decided to be idiots about it(and that is being nice about it) and only wanted to pay 85% of it. So in the interest of customer service and trying to keep a customer happy; which they did do!(I can safely say that) they said they would supplement and take care of the remaining additional damage at no charge; which was so awesome of them to do cause i know most body shops wouldnt do that. In the end i wrote them awesome review on yelp because this shop has such wonderful people working for them. Even the owner was over the top awesome and i can safely say i will be recommending this shop to others if they need a body shop to go to.

Yes this is correct. It was on private property so no police were involved it was just the 2 drivers.

3000K for repair is a way too dear. I bought mine for less than 5000$ in mint condition.

Well; as i said; thats the least expensive of the 3 places i went to get estimates done. And I believe its mainly because they had to to a lot of cutting and forming of a replacement quarter panel as well as having to recondition the bumper. There are still some areas that need smoothing out and touching up that the shop said they will take care of for me when i go back there in a few weeks to have a final wet sanding and buffing done.

and yes mine was mint when we bought it from a local dealer but the way people drive around here makes me surprised that there wasnt more damage then there was. My first rx300 before this one got totaled out by the insurance co because the amount of the damages far exceeded the value of the vehicle so they said nope they are just gonna total it out after which point i was in a rental vehicle for about a month while we were continuously searching for a replacement one and finally found this one.

In such case, I would suggest you to ask your neighbor to pay the damages. If not, I am sure you can suit her and then she has to pay a lot more.

Actually its more like sue the insurance co. because they are the ones determining what they will pay. but the car has already been repaired so whats done is done.
