Default 01 RX w/40K going to synthetic oil good idea ?

Hi gang

My RX has been running I think on conventional oil ( bought the car used )
And I am now thinking of switching to full synthetic oil at 40K

Will the car start leaking oil at 15 yrs old or start burning oil ? Or should I stick with conventional oil ?

What do you guys think ?

You can certainly try and see if oil consumption is the same or increased.

At that age I might consider a high milage oil for a few intervals before trying a synthetic. They have conditioners added to swell old seals.

Maybe I should just stay with conventiinal oil if it is such a pain

I guess it is if it is not broken ...

I think you'll be fine but you can always go with a synthetic blend.
