I have been reading this board for 6 months, looking for a car and a week ago I finally did it....Found an RX that met the criteria I was looking for and fit my budget - not an easy task. I got a 2000 with 36,000 miles for $20,200. Fresh off a lease, loaded, and in immaculate condition. Not a steal, but I think a very fair price. I'll wait and see what you experts think. I love the vehicle even more than I thought I would and am continually impressed with the ride, handling, and at least in my opinion - adequate power. I would like to upgrade the tail lights with Altezza's. Are the black Altezza lights that are currently on eBay and at ProCar the same ones everyone uses or are these different? Are these an easy plug in and go solution or is there wiring that needs to be done?

 

wanta, glad you found your RX! I'm sure you'll have fun with it.

I have notices the black Altezza lights. Have never seen them on a vehicle, so not sure of the look. Maybe best on a black RX! Most everyone, like myself, have picked up the crome interior Altezza lights.

I did the install without too much problem, however, there is a bit of work to locate the wiring harness and replacing it for each of the 2 outside lights. I'll put up a few pointers on my How2 web site soon.

Hi Wanta. Congrats on the buy! What are the particulars of your RX? I'm currently looking for one, really a CPO buy, but for $20k, I'd jump at that price. What options/packages are on your rig?

My RX is not CPO. Pearl white/tan leather. As far as I can tell, it has everything except 4WD and heated seats. I think you will be able to find them in this price range more and more frequently especially with the 330 out and available now.
