Issue with AC-Code 41: air mix damper control?
My AC only works when I turn the HVAC off, turn the temp to COLD and turn it back on. I get a code 41 when I run the diagnostic. I feel like it has something to do with controlling the damper but not the damper itself.
To get it to blow cold air, this is what I do. With the unit on and blowing heat, I turn the control all the way back to Cold. When I turn the unit off, you can hear the damper door drop. When I turn the unit back on in the Cold setting, I have cold air. Once the control is turned up to heat, you cannot go back and get cold air unless you go through the ceremony first stated above.
I feel it is not the servo but more of a relay issue. What do you think? Thanks.

Welcome to CL.
You will have to arm yourself with circuit diagram and trace the problem. At a very high level the servo get the command from heat/cold portion of the ecu and moves the damper and at the same time tells the ecu which position the damper is in. Which relays are involved? I personally dont know. Servos are not very robust [my theory is that the mode servo is over-worked, but your problem is with the mix servo].
Tell us what you find out .. specially which relay is involved. Maybe one is involved when you set the temp to COLD or HOT. If so the suspect will be the ecu.
