headlight lense polishing
Do small angle grinders spin too fast to be used with a headlight lens buffing pad? For the final polishing?
Big buffers seem to be in the 1500 rpm range, and grinders are way faster.
I polished out an RX 300 by hand, but it took an hour for the pair that were in poor shape. We have three more cars to do.
I do not really need one more tool.

I can't figure out how or why grinding/polishing with fine sandpaper became so prevalent.
I just use the liquid to take off the yellow tint and used to wax the lens. This time I am using the uv-clear coat. No fuss no muss. The most tedious part if any was to tape block areas around the lens.

This is really the issue, being able to coat the lenses after polishing to prevent the fading again.
How long have you used it and what have the results been like??
Thanks..

This time around, I have used duplicolor kit. Reasonably happy.

I wet sanded with 2000 grit. Then buffed with 3M Finesse-it. Finished with a coat of paste wax. Happy with results so far. Will see how it holds up. Had fogging on top of lens at start.
