Default reprogramming?

i was going through a bunch of papers, etc. in and around my bedroom area and discovered another set of lexus rx keys that i believe went to the first rx I had which sadly got totaled out by the insurance company. I am wondering is there a way to re-program this master key to work with my current rx? Is it feasible or would it take too much doing to get it done?

I have done this a few times before. With a different key blank, you can transfer the electronic module and reprogram it. There are directions on this forum. Sometimes everything has gone fine with this for me, and other times I have not been successful with the programming, but I don't know why. Make sure the FCC ID # on the back of the key is the same on both vehicles. For my first-gen RX's, it is N14TMTX-1.
