ECL on if I don't let her warm up
Simple.
Just fixed my a/f sensor 1 bank 1.
For a year or so, if I get in and go, her ECL comes on. If I let her warm up for a few mins, she's good to go.
Yesterday, it came on for the first time since fixing the a/f sensor. When I turned her off and returned an hour later, I got in a drove, ECL never turned back on.
Will read code if she comes on again, but I'd rather just let her warm up than test her.
So, anyone have any idea as to what could cause this?

Are there any leaks in the exhaust system ... around the WU (warm-up) Cat ,,, this is the first cat in the system right after the sensor. Check the branch (bank 1/ bank 2) that is being flagged.

Yes totally
I hear her hissing at me when she's warming near front axle
cel hasn't gone off since it came back the day after I posted last
need to get it diagnosed this week
will report back

The sensors monitor the amount of oxygen leading in (maf) and the amount of unconsumed oxygen leaving the exhaust... forming closed loop system. If some exhaust leaks out or extra oxygen enters the intake, the loop goes crazy.

What do you mean by go crazy? And you're referring the the a/f sensors, correct? So, now, if I hear the hiss, you think it's most likely what? Prob not a vacuum leak, more an exhaust one? Sometimes in drive at a red light (even now), she really rumbles down to 500. I think that's ok, but sometimes she goes up and down. Common theme here is I just need to take her in!

Sensors alet the ECU about various variables and the ecu then makes the adjustment. In close loop condition the stability i not reached.
Have it checked.
