Well, got to 148,000 before the transmission failed. I was very concerned this would happen and now I am stuck with a nice looking ride that will cost more for the transmission than the value of the vehicle. I am a true Lexus fan but when there is so many instances of major failure like transmissions on one particular model it should be addressed by the manufacturer in order to save their brand. I live in Memphis, TN and there arent any transmissions in salvage yards withing 500 miles because of the huge need for these. I had a bad feeling about it when I read all of the issues but should have sold while it was running. Live and Learn!

Sorry to hear about your transmission, that really sucks. Did you have any symptoms prior to the failure?
With a car with that low a mileage one thing you might want to consider. If you paid to have the transmission overhauled, (est. $3000) you will likely get another 100K miles out of the vehicle if it has been well maintained.
