E-Brake and Throttle Cable Question
1. My E-Brake has no resistance when I drive the car in reverse. But when I shift into Drive the E-Brakes resistance kicks in as it should. Is this normal? Is the E-Brake only suppose to engage in one direction?
2. From the engine bay the throttle cable for both cruise control, and accelerator peddle have a permanent nut, and one that moves. This is so that the cables are held in place against their brackets in the engine bay. How do I tighten the bit of slack in the throttle cable to get better responsiveness from my accelerator peddle? A friend suggested that I tighten the cable from the accelerator peddle inside the car. Is this true? How do I increase the responsiveness of my accelerator cable?
