Terrible bog lag jerkiness in acceleration
Probably something I did. At first CEL was coming on with just p1153 so I put a used Toyota air fuel sensor on bank 2. Then CEL says the problem is a bad oil control valve,P1153,P1349 and P300,301,303,305 (and I think P0171).That was more complicated, moving the hoses and all. But I got it installed (Dorman 917-214, forgot to check the filter).
Test driving around the neighborhood all seemed fine so I changed the drive belts and took it for another spin. This time I hit the accelerator hard and SUDDENLY the ole RX300 was not happy. Moderate gas pedal gets me to maybe 10 mph, barely creeping past 2000 rpm. 6-10 sec later take off, jump over 4000. Around the neighborhood it is very erratic, bogging and jerking... Strangely, acceleration in Park is smooth.
Please put thinking caps on. What did I do wrong? the CEL in still off but AutoZone check claims "P0171 system too lean, bank 1," and "P0172 system too rich bank 1." Strange?

I cleaned the MAF and unplugged the battery for 20 min. Car drove much better. Eventually though, it showed a P0155. Hmnm maybe that used air fuel sensor was not such a good deal.. I'm ordering a Denso 234-9009 to replace it. At least it drives now!
on edit: used sensors don't work. The new Denso did.
