2002 rx300 172k AWD
so my old tranny had problems. Like, really rough shift from 2-3 and didn't go into 4. So i replaced with JDM used tranny.
Problems: ittle knock from 1-2 and 2-3, small but noticeable
C1241 code
high rpm in neutral and park
But after replacing, i'm feeling little knock from 1-2 and 2-3, small but noticeable. Also, i don't have check engine light, but did found a code. C1241 code.( doesn't seem like, it would affect tranny, maybe i can charge battery, not sure)
I did use different tranny fluid.
I'm planning on changing to toyota tranny fluid over the weekend. Hope that fixes problems.
I also read about resetting shift adapt. Do i need to reset or just drive it for a while?
Also read this. http://www.searchautoparts.com/motor...-toyota-adapts it says tranny has problems if the grounding is not good. But i can't see the pictures.
So, if changing fluid doesn't fix this, what is the next step.

+1, if that doesn’t do the trick, you’ll need to get access to a Toyota techstream. It has a feature that will reset the transmission values from the computer, thereby improving performance of the replacement.
