Hello all,

From Dominican Republic, a 2001 RX300 running with 230miles on its back.

Reading a lot the forum, as I look forward to execute timing belt and engine seals maintenance.

Attached an image.

2001 RX300 here with 324,000 miles. Regular drain and fills (every second or third oil change) with Valvoline Maxlife ATF. Shifts like new. I bought it with 175,000 miles on it, so this regimen only applies to the time I have had it.
Just replaced timing belt and water pump this week. Do all the work myself.

237k miles

If tranny doesnt die - will keep it till 350k

Had couple of times it wouldn’t go to reverse, fluid drain/filter/new trans filter fixed it

242K. Bought at 130K in 2015.

Suggested product or fix for peeling clear coat on the hood?

I don't think there's much you can do about that, other than a respray of the hood. Was the hood repaired previously?

I think the only fix is to have the old car coat removed and redone.

Body shop may have to reapply the tint at this time.

A cheaper alternative would be to buy a hood in decent condition from a salvage yard of the same color.

I even see issues with the front bumper skin.
