Which dealer do you service your RX?
I bought my RX from a dealer ~100 miles from where I live, and was very happy with them, of course. My
first service is coming up and don't feel like driving up there. Do you recommend I stick with them, or is going to my local dealer just as acceptable? As long as I don't tell them I bought from somewhere else? Will my original dealer treat me better knowing that I did buy from them? Thanks.

wherever you take your vehicle they'll know where you bought it based on your VIN number - they check it everytime you bring it in for service - other dealers will certainly service your car, but I've sensed a certain animosity among competitive dealerships within the same metro area
There's a Lexus dealership about 5 miles from my house but they blew it when I was first shopping around - So my preferred dealer is about 30 miles away - closer to where I work - I choose to get ALL my service through them cause they not only sold me BOTH my vehicles - but I've developed a relationship with them - they all know me by name - and when you're spending this type of money for vehicles you EXPECT this kind of service and relationship - I think most salespeople understand the value of a relationship - and how that breeds loyalty. I'm willing to drive the extra mile for peace of mind - plus I can always put the extra miles on the loaner car anyways

In Southern California, we have many dealers to choose from. I bought my 04 RX330 & 96 ES300 from Longo Lexus in El Monte, CA. The dealership is 30 miles from home but I have received good service for the last 7 years so I will continue to have my cars serviced there, even though a number of other dealers are closer to home.
I noticed a screw in my tire two days after purchasing my RX. I had just driven the car two times and when I called Longo, they were willing to replace the tire at no cost even though the Lexus warranty states that road hazards are not covered. A new tire is on order for me while I currently am driving on my spare.

Lexus RX330: Hey! Why don't you use our Mobile Service? You don't have to drive 30 miles into the service dept. We can come and do some services at your house or we can come pick it up with a flatbed truck. No extra charge for pick- up and delivery! And we don't drive your car so no extra mileage will be put on. Call service directly at 626.580.6250 and ask for the "Mobile Service Department". They have someone there to take appts Mon- Fri between 7 am and 4 pm. This service is only good for people who have bought or leased their cars from Longo.........

Hey daywalker,
Not sure where in California you live, I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and get both my Lexi serviced at Concord Lexus. I bought both of my cars from private parties and my dealer treats me and my cars as if we bought from them.
This doesn't do you much good if you live in the Southern CA area though.
Concord Lexus is maybe 3.5 miles from my house. Nice having them so close.

I go to my local Toyota dealer for oil changes. Sears does my tire rotations for free.
I return to my Lexus dealer (60 miles away) for 15k, 30k, 45k...etc.
I'm just under 23K right now.
