4wd = Awd
In researching with other SUV's, I have found that some SUV's are 4WD while others are AWD, just like the RX. What I want to know is what are the similarities and differences between these two drivetrains.

A vehicle with 4WD is usually a truck-based body-on-frame vehicle, and AWD is usually a car-based cross-over vehicle (although there is no hard and fast rule).
