what is German Castrol

I read Lexmax oil changing thread which says he uses German Castrol, What is German Castrol and where to get it. My local auto part store Auto zone, oriely etc have Castrol but they are clueless to German Castrol

There was a particular Castrol oil formulation that was actually manufactured in Germany, I believe it was the 0W-30 Edge. Some people thought that made it better than other Castrol oils. Castrol makes several oils that are labeled European Formula, and that is on the label inside a green oval. It is also rated A3/B4. The one that was made in Germany is now made in Belgium. I don't think it makes a bit of difference.
FWIW, I have used the Castrol 0W-40 Euro in my RX for a number of oil changes and everything is still good.
