Transmission Drain Plug Tightening Torque Spec and Gasket questions
Hello,
Does anyone know the correct torque specification for tightening of the transmission drain plug with a torque wrench?
Also, does the transmission drain plug use a gasket (like the engine oil pan drain plug does)?
Thank you.

Thank you Salim.
I looked at the DIY and see that the transmission fluid drain plug torque is 36 foot pounds.
I don't see anything about a gasket or o-ring for the transmission fluid drain plug.

you have two options - go to or call your local lexus dealer to ask/purchase the part - or when you take the plug off you will see whether there is on - and you can just reuse it.
i know they say to replace it - but between multiple oil changes for my civic, rsx and is300 over the years ive replaced may 3 or 4 of those crush washers.
