I have a late model 1999 rx300 (Aug 1999)...i adjusted the roof rack to 115mm and 32mm according to a TSB that said it should reduce noise when open...not sure if it's me or not, but it seems noisier now when the roof is closed...nothing noticeable when the roof is open with this change...does anyone know the "best" spacing to minimize wind noise when the roof is closed AND open?...

 

the most silent spacing is to remove the racks.. How many times in the past year have you used them?

 

want the rack on for looks and for toting my kayak...

instead of trial and error, which takes time, i'm looking for someone who has either moved it to an optimal position and/or has a later model rx with this issue addressed...
