I just did an oil change. I want to use it for some time.

I had this same problem so I thought I would pass along experience it might help someone

After having these issues and shop telling me it was this or that fixing it then having it leaking on my driveway again, I had an old school mechanic neighbor help me. The problem were in the 2 O rings that hold cartridge holder

Forgive me if this is all common knowledge.

1. He greased O rings to hold them in place
2. He tightened each bolt/nut ONE turn each at a time so they went on evenly as he said this was very important even the slightest difference breaks the seal
3. We ran the car for 10 mins then after it started weeping again, he tightened them down evenly again.

This last step he said was crucial cause shops usually just crank them out and crank down the two nuts one at a time causing them to not go on evenly. Running the car then checking again was vital because as he said it starts moving around as the engine runs. It was only like a half a turn on the wrench but it stopped the weeping.

Shop also told me I had a leak in my valve cover gasket which he showed me was a faulty Oil cap on top of the engine. He showed me how the oil was leaking from here because if you look at the oil cap the rubber should be rounded to make a seal and mine was flat. I was able to buy for $15 from dealer OEM cap and also checked my other LS and cap was bad in that car too and leaked.
