Transmission on 01 rx300 is in the process of being rebuilt. Mechanic tells me its already been rebuilt once before. Cant say that I'm surprised, given the rep of these transmissions. I bought the car a couple of years ago with 132,000 miles on it from. It had only one owner and it was driven by an elderly person. Anyone else experienced this?

knock on wood i haven't had a problem with my transmission, but i have observed online that there are alot of rebuilders that are offering valve body upgrade kits for the U140E/F transmission. Each of the kits out there mention a flaw with the original valve body that leads to pressure losses, etc.
