Black Altezzas
I am looking for the clear altezzas for my 99 rx..unfortunately www.procarparts.com dont carry them anymore.
They only offer the black altezzas for $189, I was wondering if any of you guys had them on, any pics of them on an actual RX?

I was wondering the exact same thing.....
I need to find a pair of white altezza lights....
Why did procarparts switch over to the black altezza's anyways?
Does it come standard on any model-options???

I dont know why they switched over black ones only. I tried contacting them and no luck..
I dont think NO lexus model comes with black tails...i only seen the newer is300 with black pearl altezzas

where to buy
i bought a set of clear ones for my 1999 rx300 the other day on ebay. it came with all 4 pieces, wire harness, sealers, and bulbs. it took me only about 10mins to install. the lights are really nice and good quality. i bought it off a guy from ebay. he said that he probably got the last bunch before they got discontinued. i asked if i could buy more then one set but he said that i would just have to wait and bid on them when they come up b/c it wouldnt fair for others. he said lots of people are waiting. his auctions should come up soon so look out for it b4 it gets bought. email if you got questions. good luck

Do the "factory r_ce" OE 2001+ RX tail-lamps lamps work on earlier models?

Yes, the 2001-2003 taillights work on the 1999-2000 models. I bought the set that RickM is talking about on ebay and installed them last Friday night. You will need to make a modification or install a new harness as the blinker bulb sockets are different than the 99-00 models. Everything else is fine. Here is a pic of mine.

See this thread on the modification needed to do the trick. If you can get the aftermarket set then they come with the new wiring harness so you can just plug and play. I found the method described in the thread quicker and easier and no leaks either.
