Default A/C/Alternator Belt Adjustment Bolt Missing?

Found this thread on how to adjust it (https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...ustment-4.html), noticed that my adjustment bolt is completely missing. The belt has been squeaking for awhile, but goes away after a minute, so didn't really pay much attention until I found out it's a simple fix, but found out the problem above. Does anyone know if you can buy the bolt separately? The hole that it sits in isn't threaded or anything, so I'm unsure of how it keeps the adjustment, maybe there's supposed to be a nut on the other side?

I would suggest, just buy it from the dealer. It will not be cheap, but not terribly expensive. While at it, consider changing the belt too. Once they slip, they develop a shine.

What site do you typically use to look up parts? It was my sister's car, but she gave it to me, just going to drive it til it dies. I remember her saying she changed a belt and taking a look at the current a/c/alternator belt, it looks like it was the belt that was changed. I'm assuming the shop broke the adjustment bolt and didn't bother saying anything.

Being on line will add shipping and handling.

Just buy local.

For those who might have the same problem in the future, Dorman makes a kit that includes the locking and adjusting bolt. Dorman 917-148. A long 12 mm ratcheting wrench also makes this job a lot easier + the adjustment bolt can be accessed by using a long extension through the front grill.
