2001 RX300 Ok. I searched and found a solution to a window problem. The passenger window would not go up. I started taking the passenger side apart and checked the motor by putting power to the wires that connect it. It worked fine. So after searching I found there is a problem with the relays on the circuit board under the switch. I put the window up and put the door back together while I waited for a new relay. I then soldered the new relay (on the passenger side) in and now the window works- but only from the driver side switch. I get no response at all from the switch on the passenger door itself. I took the assembly back out and made sure the contacts were clean. The door lock button works on the passenger side but the window switch is dead. Leaving it for now because we can at least control the window from the drivers side. I am not very good at soldering, did I damaged the board? Maybe one of the solder points is bad? I am scared to try resoldering again for fear of making it totally unusable. My thinking (which could EASILY be wrong) is that if there was a bad solder joint on the relay the window wouldn't work at all. Without schematics of the board or knowing which relay pin does what I'm totally confused. I am hoping someone has ran into this before and there is something I have missed, since new boards seem to be unavailable. HELP please.

Unlocked. I tried both ways.Kind of a good thing. After thinking about it for awhile, I went and checked. Tested the other windows. I would have been banging my head on the wall if it was that simple. I found used ones on ebay, think I'll order one. I now remember there was a point when I was trying the reset the system that the passenger side WINDOW switch was locking and unlocking the doors. Cycled the ignition switch and it quit. That was probably an indicator of something more wrong with the board.

You'll be surprised, how often SIMPLE things are overlooked. Myself included. Though my gut tells me, it's your master switch. Door switches are very basic, master - not so much.

I'm scared to try (from the video) this without a backup board. Everything works from the driver side switch. And I had enough trouble soldering a new relay in. Before I soldered the new relay in the passenger side it would only go down. The only way around it was unplug switch and run power directly to the motor. I'm only home 2 days a week, so it would be next week before I could do it, and if I screw it up worse I;ll catch hell- It's my wife's vehicle.
