Replacing front calipers - question
Hi. I'm replacing the front calipers on my 1999 RX300 with units from RockAuto (re)manufactured by A-1 Cardone. In the little bag of hardware included with each caliper is a small black spring clip. I can't figure out where it goes. Anyone? TIA.

The key word is "need".
Without the squealers you have to monitor the life remaining. The squealers give you additional warning .. keep in mind the squealers are not on all the pads so things have to wear out perfectly to react on squealers only.
Another DIY hint .. never discard the old part. Place the new right next to the old and observe attachments and orientation. I at times mark the point of attachments with marker ... 1 scribe or two scribes and so on.
