Engine mounts
Hi Salim,
The motor mounts are just fine I just got back from the shop. I also substituted another cruise control actuator and it does the same thing as the old one. I tried Nad1370 test (above) and got 12, 15 for the blink code. Any idea what that means?

Same problem as before?
Code 15 is -- Actuator motor circuit
Code 12 is -- Actuator Magnetic Clutch Circuit
Both of these are part of the Cruise control actuator you just replaced.
Hard to believe you have 3 bad cruise actuators that has the same issue.
This might be a long shot and i know you cant check this by yourself esp while driving.
This is my theory.
Brake switch.
If your brake switch is on, no way you can set the cruise
Cruise will cancel if the brake switch is on.
Brake switch is operated with a plunger and is mounted by the brake pedal.
Maybe its loose/stuck or out of adjustment.
Again, its just a theory.
There is also a cruise ECU but highly unlikely a problem
Plus a brake switch is cheap and easy to install.

Yep, the one I just got in the mail today does the same thing as the old one. Identical.
what’s kind of interesting with your post is that I’ve been having an odd display when the break is applied. One or both turn signals light up when I put on the break.
But as before if I’m on a grade uphill with the old one or the replacement the cruise sets just fine and stays set.
I sure do appreciate those on this forum that are trying to help. It’s kind of frustrating and I just don’t have the money to haul it off to a shop and let nature take it’s course.Thanks

Thats what CL enthusiasts are here for.
Sometimes we all run into a wall.
Thats when we bust the hammer out and break through.
If all else fails...either live with it or ship it. Lol.

Problem Fixed
I’m very happy to say that the second used actuator that I got on eBay works just fine. The fellow that sold me the first one gladly refunded when I told him the error codes – which just happened to be the same as the one I had.
Thank you Nad1370 for your invaluable test and to you Salim for trying your best to steer me straight. I got everyone off on a rabbit trail when quite by accident the problem seem to solve itself with adjustment. Sorry about that. It needed a new one or at least a good used one which is what it has and now my foot is very happy!
